Weitzman Institute Virtual Symposium
Mental Health Matters
May 14, 2025
11:00-5:00 ET / 8:00-2:00 PT
Each year, the Weitzman Institute Virtual Symposium provides participants with a unique opportunity to hear from some of the nation’s top thought leaders, clinicians, researchers, and entrepreneurs who are leading efforts in the Institute’s key priority areas: Social Determinants of Health, Health Systems Transformation, and Workforce Development. The Symposium offers a forum for exploring primary care’s challenge of dismantling persistent inequities. It is ideally suited for anyone who is interested in recreating and advocating for a more just healthcare system that better meets the needs of its diverse workforce, patients, and communities.
This year’s Symposium, “Mental Health Matters,” will respond to the national demand for intersectional, community-responsive approaches to mental health research, clinical practice, and policy. Topics will include how to prioritize the mental well-being of marginalized populations and the healthcare workforce that serves them; advances in health tech and innovation to promote mental well-being; and more.
Registration is free. CE/CME credits are available to participants at no cost.

Weitzman ECHO
Continuing education opportunities for the primary care team
Ongoing throughout the year
The Weitzman Institute offers training and continuing education throughout the year for the interprofessional primary care team—primary care providers, behavioral health providers, and other members of the care team—seeking to gain expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of certain complex illnesses and conditions.
Weitzman ECHOs are virtual learning communities, led by expert practitioners, designed to expand participants’ knowledge and skill by providing core didactics and time for case consultations. These learning communities foster connectedness and reduce isolation among health care professionals across the U.S.
Weitzman ECHOs cover a variety of topics that are relevant to patients of all ages. The offerings are always evolving to meet the needs of today’s primary care workforce and CME/CEUs are available for nine health professions.
